This family of computers have historically been referred to as 'Tandem Systems' though the HPE trademark 'NonStop' is now more widely used.
The Tandem/NonStop family are high availability, fault-tolerant computer systems which are typically deployed to run mission-critical applications in banking, finance, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare and defence.
As Tandem/HPE NonStop specialists, CE Engineering does not sell or support generic HPE product such as Proliant Windows/LINUX servers, Integrity Unix servers, nor HP desktop PCs, laptops, printers or any other hardware for the domestic market. Within the NonStop Tandem market CE Engineering focuses on the sales and support of legacy systems. Legacy Tandem/HPE NonStop systems are those which are no longer sold by the manufacturer and which the manufacturer has deemed to be close to End of Service Life (EoSL - also known as End of Life or EoL) or on which the manufacturer has withdrawn hardware support completely.

We hold a large inventory of used and refurbished Tandem and HPE NonStop hardware at our facilities in the United Kingdom and at our sister company in the USA. Tandem NonStop History
A number of sources detail the founding of Tandem Computers Inc., the company's ethos and other reasons why ‘Tandem’ is held in high regard by its users and former employees, but little can be found which describes the architecture from a hardware maintenance perspective.
